Spring at Powell River Airport

Powell River Airport (CYPW) is all decked out for spring arrivals.

Wildflowers and clearing spring skies at Powell River Airport.

Getting to Powell River, British Columbia, is quick and easy by airplane.

Commercial service is provided by Pacific Coastal Airlines. The Westview Flying Club welcomes private pilots with a cozy clubhouse and aircraft parking. Julie's Airport Cafe is within walking distance for great breakfasts and lunches. Taxis and bus service make all of Powell River easy to access. Come for a day, or stay for a lifetime. We did. -- Margy

  1. Stay for a lifetime indeed. I came here for 6 months ...back in 1972!

  3. Hi Margy, I really enjoyed this post. Powell River sounds like an excellent destination! I must check it all out. I think I could fly float plane from Seattle to Victoria on Kenmore Air and then on to Powell River on Pacific Coast. Thanks for sharing and for your kind words on my blog. Have a great weekend!

    1. Pacific Coastal flies out of Vancouver's South Terminal not Victoria to reach Powell River. If Kenmore makes stops at the seaplane base at the Vancouver you could walk over to catch a flight. - Margy
